Indoor Airgun/MQP on Wednesdays 6 to 8PM
Our indoor range is open for airgun shooting (airguns and BB guns only) from about 6 pm until 8pm.
If you do not have an air gun, we have loaners for you (or your guests) to try free of charge.
We are looking to make this an every-Wednesday-evening thing all winter, until we can get back out on the rifle range in April-May.

Members of other clubs and members of the public are more than welcome to come and participate.
We intend to use standard NRA 10 meter airgun targets and, for the BB gun shooters, we’ll have standard 5 meter BB gun targets, too. There will be a nominal charge for targets.

The NRA has Marksmanship Qualification Programs – with patches – for airgun and BB gun. We intend to make it possible for people to work their way through these Marksmanship Qualification Programs. More information on the courses of fire are found at this link, starting at page 11: Qual Book_06.qxd (https://mqp.nra.org/documents/pdf/education/training/marksmanship/qualbook.pdf) As we go along, we will keep score.

As with all things at the club, safety is a primary concern: safety in shooting and for the health of our members. We do not yet have a formal set of rules for the range, so here are our tentative rules to follow:

  1. The indoor range is limited to airguns and archery equipment only. Absolutely no firearms are allowed in the indoor range. Certain high-powered airguns may be disallowed at the discretion of the Indoor Range Committee. We do have some archery equipment suitable for children up to about age 10, and we have a couple of air rifles as well. We may acquire more equipment going forward to accommodate growing interest in youth activities.
  2. Eye protection is a must. Hearing protection may be required depending on the guns being used, and you should bring it.
  3. Please follow all protocols to the on-site member-coordinators require to ensure a pleasant and safe experience for all. Be courteous and cooperative.
