You must be registered with us by end of day on Sunday, March 19. The total amount for registration is $20.00 and that covers your entry fee plus your first round of targets. To obtain a registration form please email Joe at joehall@fairpoint.net The event begins at 9:00AM and concludes at 2:00PM with the squad on the line at 2:00 allowed to complete.

$$$$ TO BE WON $$$$

The entry fee is $12.00 and each round of 25 targets is $8.00. Of the registration fee $3.00 will go into a drawing to be held at the end of the shoot. The drawing will pay out 3 evenly split amounts to 3 lucky shooters. You will get one ticket at the time of registration and additional tickets can be purchased at $5.00 each or 3 for $10.00. All ticket sales will be added to the pot.

You may shoot as many rounds as you wish but need a minimum of 2. The shoot is based on 50 targets and you may choose any of your 2 rounds to count towards the event score. We have one field and squadding will be done as determined by shoot management. The event will be limited to 20 shooters only.

!!!  HAM TO BE WON!!!

We will be awarding approx. 75 lbs. of quarter hams and there are many ways to win a ham:

The high score for the day will win.

  • The average score for the day will win.
  • If you hit one of the “prize” colored targets you will win.
  • We will draw a number between 0 and 9. If your score ends in that number you will win.
  • You may win multiple times.
  • Ties for high score will be settled by using the “long run from the front” method. If a tie still exists, then a coin flip will be used.

Youth Archery

We are resuming our Indoor Youth Archery Program for 2023:

8:15 AM to 1 PM  on Fridays

January 13 and 27

February 3 and 17

March 3 and 17

April 14 and 28

May 12

Other dates may be added, stay tuned!

If you home school, or have a flexible/non-traditional education schedule, this program may be of interest.

If you would like to foster an appreciation of the shooting spots for the next generation, we would love your help!

Audience:

Young Archers: ages 6 through 11

Teen Archers: Middle and High School 11+

The first two sessions (8:30am and 9:30am) are for 6-11yr olds,
and the second two (10:30am and 11:30am) are for middle and high school (ages 11+).

We require registration so we can manage the numbers each session. We have up to four sessions in a day, each lasting for an hour. We cannot handle walk-ins. We do not allow drop-offs, a responsible adult must remain with the children at all times.

These archery sessions provide an opportunity for archers of all skill levels to participate in the sport of archery and enjoy each others company. This is a recreational session and is not a class. There will be club members there to assist and help give pointers. New archers are absolutely welcome!

Loaner equipment is complimentary for all those that need it. Feel free to bring your own as well! We have traditional bows for all skills levels and entry level compound bows as well.

We are in need of volunteers to support this program through 2023 and beyond.

There is no need to be there the whole time, thought it would be great if you can be. Even an hour would be a great help.

Please reach out to George Spino (george.spino@frandg.org) regarding helping out, registering a youth participant, or a non-member referral.

As with all things at the club, safety is a primary concern: safety in shooting and for the health of our members. We do not yet have a formal set of rules for the range, so here are our tentative rules to follow:

  1. The indoor range is limited to airguns and archery equipment only. Absolutely no firearms are allowed in the indoor range. Certain high-powered airguns may be disallowed at the discretion of the Indoor Range Committee. We do have some archery equipment suitable for children up to about age 10, and we have a couple of air rifles as well. We may acquire more equipment going forward to accommodate growing interest in youth activities.
  2. Eye protection is a must. Hearing protection may be required depending on the guns being used, and you should bring it.
  3. Please follow all protocols to the on-site member-coordinators require to ensure a pleasant and safe experience for all. Be courteous and cooperative.
