- ALWAYS keep your muzzle pointing in a safe direction
- Always keep your finger OFF the trigger until you are ready to shoot
- Always keep the action open and the firearm UNLOADED until ready to use
- Treat every firearm as if it were loaded at all times
- Know how the firearm operates and how to use it safely
- Be sure your firearm and ammunition are compatible
- Carry only one gauge/caliber of ammunition while on the firing line
- Be sure of your target — and what is beyond it
- Always wear appropriate eye and ear protection
- The use of alcohol and/or drugs before, during, or after shooting anywhere on club property is strictly prohibited
- Be aware that circumstances may require additional rules unique to a particular situation
